Home plumbing
The public system ends at the property line. Everything after that is the building — the part public records cannot see.
Two different worlds, one glass
Report pages summarize public systems: treatment, street mains, monitoring. Your service line, indoor pipes, and fixtures belong to the property.
When building pipes can matter
- Building age and materials
- Water that sat overnight (more contact time with pipes)
- City lead-control or service-line programs — where they appear in public records, our pages can show notes
What this site can and cannot say
Can: show public system records and program notes when they exist. Cannot: see inside your walls. A clean system file does not certify a building.
Next steps
- Ask your city about service-line records and programs.
- If certainty matters, have your own tap tested.
